The biblical goal for church ministries is to build “the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God” (Ephesians 4:13).

Sunday School is one of the venues by which Covenant Presbyterian Church seeks to foster this growth in faith and knowledge among believers of all ages.

Children

Children are very important in the eyes of God. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14). And Asaph presented a trans-generational vision for the passing on of the faith: “telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done” (Psalm 78:4).

The goal of our children’s Sunday School program is to accept Jesus’ invitation and to take up Asaph’s vision by declaring to the next generation the glories of the Lord and the gospel of grace through Jesus Christ as taught in Scripture. We have Sunday School classes for every age group from pre-school through high school incorporating Biblically-based and age-appropriate curriculum. Our teachers are carefully screened, have completed child protection training, and are committed to helping children grow in faith, knowledge, and love for Jesus.

Adults

Spiritual growth is a life-long journey, so our Sunday School program doesn’t stop with children. We presently offer one adult class that varies its teaching among a variety of subjects, including the Bible, theology, church history, Christian worldview, and practical Christian living. Our desire is to see adults equipped for lives of faithful Kingdom service.

Our Sunday School follows a school-year calendar with classes offered from September through mid-May. We break from Sunday School during the summer months.
