Worship is the highest calling and greatest privilege of God’s people.

The Bible tells us that God seeks those who will worship Him in Spirit and Truth (John 4:23). At Covenant, worship is the center of our life together—everything else in the church flows from it.

When you join us on the Lord’s Day, you will find a service shaped by the rich, historic liturgy of the Christian church. Worship here is not a performance or a concert; it is a holy dialogue between God and His covenant people. He calls us, cleanses us, consecrates us by His Word, communes with us at His Table, and then commissions us to serve Him in the world.

What to Expect in Worship

Visitors receive a bulletin that guides the entire service: prayers, Scripture readings, hymns, creeds, and responses. You will never be left guessing what comes next.

  • Call to Worship – God summons us into His presence.
  • Confession & Forgiveness – We confess our sins and hear the assurance of pardon.
  • Consecration – Through the reading and preaching of the Word, prayers, and song, God sets us apart for Himself.
  • Communion – Each Lord’s Day we come to the Lord’s Table as a covenant family.
  • Commission & Sending – We are blessed and sent into the world in Christ’s name.

Worship is something we do together as a covenant community, not something we watch. The congregation sings, prays, and confesses the faith with one voice.

Our pastor wears a robe to reflect the church’s historic practice of focusing attention not on the preacher’s personality, but on the Word of God proclaimed. Sermons are expository in nature, typically going verse by verse through books of the Bible.

You can see sample bulletins and listen to sermons here. You can also check out the Resources Page for other teaching material.
